Tech-Based Dentistry to Serve Our Patients Better

We strive to provide our patients with the quickest and most efficient care that provides the best results. We stay on the cutting edge of dental technology, allowing us to keep us at the forefront of both technology and the treatment it allows us to perform. The Technology we use allows us to present fully customizable treatment plans to our patients. Every patient has unique needs as well as different goals they are trying to achieve with their smile and we believe that we need to use every tool at our disposal to create a plan that is made specifically for them.

We believe that the days of time-consuming and uncomfortable traditional treatments should be left in the past. Using different forms of digital technology allows us to do away with invasive and bothersome treatments such as traditional dental X-rays

The Technology We use

We use a variety of different technology that allows us to treat each patient in an individual and unique way. This allows us to form a more personal connection with our patients and build a lifelong connection with them because they know that when they come for treatment at South County Complete Dental Care, they are treated like family. We use the Following technology and treatments to treat our patients:

Our 3D Cone beam is the equivalent of a medical CT scan. It provides us the capability of scanning teeth, soft tissues and bones of the head and neck. This scan assists in cases ranging from root canals and implants to maxillofacial imaging. The 3D image offers sharp images for a more detailed diagnosis.

Offering superior resolution with less radiation exposure, digital radiography is an excellent way to help diagnose oral problems. Digital X-rays not only use 90% less radiation than traditional film X-rays but are also much less time-consuming.

Using a small radiographic camera that is only slightly larger than a pen, we capture images of each tooth. This technology eliminates the need for developing or chemical processing of the images. Instead, they appear instantly on a computer screen as each scan is complete. By shifting the angle of the imaging wand only slightly, the dentist can capture every surface of every tooth.

An intraoral camera is a small video camera that takes an image of the outside of the gum or tooth. The intraoral camera resembles an oversized pen. While simultaneously viewing a monitor, the dentist inserts the camera into a patient’s mouth and gently shifts it about so that images can be taken from a variety of angles. The intraoral camera is extremely helpful in diagnosing dental conditions such as tooth decay and cracked teeth and in educating the patient. Since the intraoral camera is used in tandem with a computer screen or television monitor, your dentist can easily show you, in real-time, if you have a fractured tooth or need gum disease treatment.

Our Intraoral scanner uses technology to give us a 3D image of your teeth. This allows us to be more accurate and precise with fabricating crowns, bridges, implants and partials. This technology allows us to make digital impressions replacing the need to use messy impression
trays.

Sedation Dentistry

We offer a variety of sedation dentistry to help provide a method of relaxation for our patients who struggle with varying degrees of dental anxiety. Patients who struggle with dental anxiety often delay or neglect their dental appointments and as a result, may end up allowing for more serious dental issues to form. We pride ourselves on being able to provide a comforting and relaxing dental experience for all of our patients regardless of the level of dental anxiety they experience.
